Our Vision
RBI Native exists to engage and develop Native
American youth athletically, academically, culturally,
and spiritually, empowering them to lead the
transformations of their communities.
RBI Native is petitioning Nike RBI to become a
recognized Nike RBI Affiliate for the purpose of
leveraging Nike RBI infrastructure, guidance, support,
and programming.

RBI Native: What We Do
1. Connect Kids To Mentor Relationships
- We believe the greatest need in any child’s life is relationships – relationships with people and a relationship with God.
- RBI Native leverages baseball and softball to connect kids to positive, consistent relationships.
2. Make Sports Affordable
- We believe all kids should have access to sports, teammates, and community.
- RBI Native makes baseball and softball (and year-round relationships!) affordable and accessible for all youth in Native Communities (aka Indian Country) — regardless of their age, their skill level, or their household income.
3. Develop Team Players On & Off the Field
- We love the games of baseball and softball, but we care about more than just developing better athletes.
- Sports are simply the way that we bring people together and connect kids to teams, coaches, mentors, and a community of support.
4. Close The Gap
- A CDC study found that 70 percent of children from families with incomes above about $105,000 — four times the poverty line — participated in sports in 2020. But participation was around 51 percent for families in a middle-income range, and just 31 percent for families at or below the poverty line.
- We ‘Close The Gap’ by providing programs that cultivate interpersonal development and leadership skills.
- We ‘Close The Gap’ by providing guidance and resources for Native Americans seeking to leverage baseball and softball as a tool in furtherance of their educational opportunities.

Toli Sports Group (TSG) is a for-profit entity dedicated to the promotion and development of athletes through high-impact events, tournaments, and player-focused programs. By creating platforms for athletes to showcase their talents to college recruiters and providing robust development opportunities, TSG bridges the gap between passion and purpose. Our mission is to ensure that athletes achieve success on the field while fostering personal growth and opportunities off the field.

Player Development Program (PDP)
What is Toli Sports Group?
The Player Development Program (PDP) is a cornerstone of TSG’s mission to cultivate well-rounded athletes. Rooted in the rich heritage of Native American stickball, or "Toli," the PDP connects cultural legacy to modern athletic aspirations. Our RBI Native Toli Academy equips athletes with the tools they need to excel in life and sport by emphasizing resilience, emotional intelligence, academic achievement, and character development.
Core Components of the PDP:
Module I: Preparation and Expectation Alignment
Athletes will:
- Align preparation with expectations, focusing on the distinction between personal identity and athletic persona.
- Develop scoped strategies for success on and off the field, tying passion to purpose.
- Create personalized mission statements that define their purpose and guide their actions.
- Learn resilience strategies such as the OODA Loop: Observe, Orient, Decide, Act—then refine and repeat.
Module II: Attributes Assessment
Athletes will:
- Define their personal brand and ensure alignment with recruiting expectations.
- Understand the athletic and academic standards required for varying levels of college athletics (Juco, D3, D2, D1).
- Create a Performance Improvement Plan (PIP) for personal and athletic growth.
- Receive guidance on standardized testing (SAT vs. ACT) and its role in recruitment.
Module III: Personal Development Plan (PDP)
Athletes will:
- Develop a comprehensive Personal Development Plan, connecting skills, passions, and goals.
- Incorporate training schedules, academic benchmarks, and character-building into their plans.
- Access resources and support to effectively execute their plans.
Module IV: Brand Development
Athletes will:
- Build a personal brand that reflects their values and character.
- Create compelling recruiting profiles, highlight videos, and social media content.
- Establish professional profiles on platforms like LinkedIn and FieldLevel.
- Learn how to network effectively with college coaches and recruiters.
Module V: Recruitment Strategy
Athletes will:
- Develop a strategic approach to recruitment, including:
- Identifying target schools based on financial, geographic, academic, and athletic criteria.
- Crafting tailored email templates and formal letters for coaches, recruiting coordinators, and admissions directors.
- Creating academic and athletic profiles, including compelling highlight videos showcasing skills and character.
- Schedule unofficial visits and attend targeted showcases and camps.
- Build relationships within the collegiate community to enhance recruitment prospects.
Through these modules, TSG’s Player Development Program prepares athletes not only to excel in their sport but also to navigate the complexities of college recruitment and personal growth with confidence and purpose.

We believe the greatest need in any child’s life is relationships. Relationships with people and a relationship with God. RBI Native leverages baseball and softball to connect kids to positive, consistent relationships.
We love the games of baseball and softball, but if we only focused on building better ball players, we’d miss the mark. We are more than just a youth sports league. Sports are simply the way that we bring people together and connect kids to teams, coaches, mentors, and a community of support.
Our Program Offerings:
- Summer Leagues: Includes the Jr. RBI Summer League (ages 4-12) and the RBI Summer League (ages 13-18).
- Player Development Academies: Offered in the fall, these academies use baseball and softball to teach players how to grow consistent character, whole hearts, and thriving relationships.
- Monthly Clinics: Available to Jr. RBI and RBI kids throughout the fall and spring, these clinics focus on skill development and fostering meaningful connections with coaches and mentors.
Mentorship at the Core
Even greater than our love of the game is our desire to see kids succeed in life beyond the field. Our mentoring program includes:
- RBI Mentoring: Matches mentors to mentees starting in the 4th grade, fostering long-term, impactful relationships.
- High School Player Discipleship Program: Pairs groups of 9th-12th grade students with a team of mentors, emphasizing personal growth, character building, and life skills development.
At Toli Sports Group, we’re dedicated to developing not only great athletes but also resilient, well-rounded individuals prepared for life’s challenges.
Mentoring Program: Awaken the Gifts Within
Why Mentoring?
Mentoring has deep roots in many Native communities. Anna M. Latimer (Ya’Ta’L’whet), a longtime advocate for Native youth, reminds us: “Mentoring was part of the natural systems found in communal life to awaken the sleeping gifts in our most precious resource—our children. Today more than ever, we are being asked to become conscious of ourselves and our communities and to help our youth develop their gifts.”
Research highlights the transformative impact of mentoring:
- 46% less likely to begin using illegal drugs
- 27% less likely to begin using alcohol
- 52% less likely to skip school
- 37% less likely to skip a class
- 33% less likely to hit someone

At TSG, we integrate mentorship into every aspect of our programs.
